POSITION SUMMARY

MassMutual is seeking a Quantitative Business Analyst Consultant in the Institutional Solutions Actuarial Department. This role will drive business results by analyzing, reporting, and influencing the business through the creation, gathering and reporting of all key data and metrics impacting the business. This role will recommend and influence the strategy and business decisions utilizing these analyses. Additionally, this role will monitor the health of the business by monitoring risks, modeling products, and performing financial and quantitative analyses on these products by working with the business unit and corporate functions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ideation and Creation of metrics, reporting, and analysis of those metrics to drive data driven business decisions across all Institutional Solutions businesses

  • Risk reporting to senior management and corporate ERM including Risk Appetite

  • Monitoring and reporting on the Stable Value book of business

  • Underwriting data and analysis for both new business and on-going various financial projects

  • Support of modeling and experience studies of Institutional Products

  • Supporting Model Governance

  • Continuous improvement

  • Influencing the strategy with data based analyses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree Required in Finance, Math, Actuarial Science or Related Field

  • Excel, Reporting Tools, Programming skills

  • Business Acumen, collaboration, and ability to influence

  • Developing and influencing policies, procedures, and project management

  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Strong decision making skills, organized, and attention to detail

  • Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities

  • Ability to identify solutions that effectively address business needs

  • Ability to conceptualize solutions and execute delivery

  • Superior ability to work within and across organizations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledgeable in aspects of institutional products a plus

  • Actuarial exams passed or actuarial modeling skills a plus
