The CFO Dividend Management Team is seeking an innovative leader to manage the Dividend Systems Team. This role directs a team of developers that is responsible for dividend modeling, systems development, testing, and implementation of MassMutual’s annual dividend schedule as well as partnering with multiple areas throughout the enterprise to ensure alignment and proper integration of strategic solutions.

This role is responsible for:

  • Managing the annual dividend systems development and partnering with Dividend Strategy to ensure all methodology & systems changes are incorporated in both dividend re-pricing / illustrations regulation testing models as well as all unit dividend production calculation engines

  • Partnering with IT and CFO Project Manager to implement the dividend schedule into all admin and illustrations systems each year

  • Leading the area’s model conversion to Python as well as other conversion

  • Leading innovation & alignment with other efforts in CFO and IT

  • Ensuring all processes abide by any governance and FRR controls as applicable

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, or required field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience working in life insurance/quantitative field

  • APL programming and strong computer programming background required

  • Prior product pricing and dividend experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to effectively identify, communicate, and develop solutions to business issues

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and VBA)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: ability to document complex issues, methodologies and resolutions such that others can readily understand them

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to reconcile competing priorities while meeting organizational objectives

  • Sound business judgment in an environment of rapid change - ability to respond to changes in direction, tight deadlines and high pressure situations

  • Comfortable dealing with both complexity and ambiguity, and able to explore multiple solutions to a problem

  • Ability to develop, lead and manage diverse teams and processes

  • Takes ownership and is results-orientated
