Responsibilities:

  • Engage Agile team members and be an active contributor in stand-ups, sprint planning, demos etc.

  • Focus on continuous improvement and learning

  • Learn existing applications and enhance/improve code base

  • Complete design and development tasks independently

  • Innovator thinker and isn’t afraid to take risks

  • Analyze legacy/existing code and modify to ensure compliance with upgrades.

  • Leads efforts to analyze legacy code and mentors team to build skills.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux with hands-on experience developing and maintaining Shell scripts.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts, standards and best practices. Convert business rules into transformation rules, design and develop ETL mappings.

  • Ability to architect an ETL solution and required data conversion strategies.

  • Project experience with dimensional and relational data models.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS - Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • 8+ years’ experience supporting an environment with legacy applications.

  • Analyze and develop specifications for the enhancement, maintenance and problem solving for complex applications or operating system(s).

  • Provide in-depth consulting to IT management and staff at the highest technical level in the identification and resolution of an application or the overall operating system(s) problems or difficulties.

  • Experience collaborating with a team of developers with varying skill sets

  • Strong familiarity with mainframe applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages.

  • Strong knowledge of at least 4 of the following programming languages: SQL, Java, .Net, COBOL, VB, Informatica, WebMethods

  • Strong knowledge of financial products, services and solutions

  • Development experience in a true Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.

  • Systems experience with Actuarial Valuation & Modeling Systems including Polysystems, Axis, CASE (ArcVal), Triton, Prophet, SE2, SynGIC.

  • Working knowledge of Stochastic and Seriatim valuations – policy level detail.

  • Experience with DAC, PBR, AG43, FAS91, Hedging, Assumptions and Experience studies.

  • Installation/administration and support of Informatica in new environments, including working expertise with server, workflow and session performance tuning methods, tools and monitoring.

  • Authorized to work in the US with or without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of working in a Cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services.

  • Knowledge of certain tools and technology – Microstrategy, Alteryx, Tableau, PySpark, Vertica.

  • Demonstrated skills in automating manual processes with the valuation and modeling end to end flow using technology.

  • Job scheduling knowledge on TWS Maestro.

  • Recognized as subject matter expert in Informatica field.

  • Informatica PowerCenter Architecture and Development experience from release 9.1.0 and above.

  • 8+ years of work experience in databases Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and DB2 including business experience in the development, maintenance and enhancement of Informatica Mappings, Workflows and Processes.
